I just got done re-watching that episode for the umpteenth time (side note, apparently my mac recognizes “umpteenth” as an actual word) and it made me really annoyed at Daniel. I love that episode, but the part where Lorelai starts going off on her parents about Rory applying to Yale is completely ridiculous. The second she started doing that the first thing I thought was “I guess Daniel wrote this episode” It just really aggravates me what he does to her character. Lorelai is a really cool, confident, and easy going person. Daniel adds too much drama and over reacting to her character, and goes too far in trying to show the disfunction in her familial relationship. Grr… I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he’s a life ruiner, he ruins people’s lives.
